OVMS Patriot Family,
Our OVHS football team will be competing in the sectional championship Friday night at Patriot Field. Chris Bault, from Spencer Hardware, has offered to pay for all OVMS student tickets to the game!
If your student is interested in attending, they will be able to sign up during Pride Homeroom class tomorrow and Thursday. I will be sending out a Google form for their info during class tomorrow.
We will pass out tickets by Friday. The game starts at 7:30 pm.
Let’s get everyone to the game! Go Patriots!

We are so proud of our OVHS football team on their win over Gibson Southern. Now they will be playing for the sectional championship and we want to support them. Next week, we will start a spirit week on Tuesday. Join in the fun! #socsowen #beawesometoday

Our cafeteria staff made the serving area festive for the season by decorating the doors. We appreciate them! #socsowen

Today was the end of Red Ribbon Week. Students could wear costumes to “scare away drugs.” Because we had this option today, we will not wear costumes on Monday.

Mrs. Tucker’s Adulting Club practiced checking tire air pressure, inflating tires, and checking car oil levels today. #socsowen #beawesometoday

Mrs. Tucker enlisted the help of our SROs during her Adulting club Friday they practiced opening the hood of a car and jumping a car battery with help. #socsowen #beawesometoday

Mrs. Heckman‘s language arts classes recently read a poem and then chose sides to argue in a mock trial. The students were able to articulate their opinions, cite text evidence, and be very persuasive in their arguments! #socsowen #beawesometoday

Red Ribbon Week is coming!
When students choose their clothing for the dress up days, please keep the school dress code in mind. For Friday, no costume face masks, face paint, weapons or violent-themed costumes. It’s a good idea to have an extra set of clothes.

Our drill has ended and was successful! Thanks to our School Resource Officers and other law enforcement personnel for their assistance.

Just a reminder that Owen Valley Middle School is conducting their annual evacuation drill this morning. This is just a drill!

OVMS students and staff, with the help of our local law-enforcement officers, will be conducting our state mandated evacuation drill Thursday morning. Please make sure students have a jacket as we will be walking outside.
