A second Teacher Mini-Grant will allow our school to create another set of Walter Trading Cards for the 2024-25 school year. The new cards will highlight the attributes of active listening, caring, common sense, encouragement, generosity, integrity, manners, patience, problem-solving, and trust.
Each card has a picture of Walter demonstrating the trait. On the back of each card is a definition, what it looks like in action, and a quote that reinforces the importance of the skill. The cards are designed by MCES PTO mom Jaime Olcott Minor and produced by Patriot Manufacturing.
Walter is in his fourth year as school therapy dog for McCormick’s Creek Elementary. Walter and the trading card project are coordinated by MCES School Counselor George Bergan.
