PES fourth graders in Mrs. Gina Moll’s classroom had a picnic outside to celebrate their first class read aloud novel, “The Boxcar Children.”
Students enjoyed milk, bread and butter, berries, cherries, and cookies…just like in the story! Students brought in dog stuffed animals (to represent the dog in the story) or any animal that could be found in the woods (the setting). They even brought their own plate and cup since the characters found a variety of dishes at the dump! If you know the story, you know one of the characters, Benny, loves his pink cup so we had plenty of those! So much fun!
