School Board Announces New Superintendent

After conducting an exhaustive search for the next Superintendent of the Spencer-Owen Community School Corporation, the School Board is pleased to announce that, pending board approval at the July 15 meeting at 7:00 PM in the Mike Wells Memorial Board Room at Central Office, Mr. Andy Cline is set to become our next Superintendent.

Mr. Cline comes to us having worked in education for the past 26 years as a teacher, coach, athletic director, assistant principal, principal, director of learning and instruction, and an assistant superintendent. He started his career in education in 1995 as a science teacher at Edgewood Junior High School. In 2003, he started an 18-year tenure at Nineveh-Hensley-Jackson United School Corporation. For the past six years, he has served as their Assistant Superintendent.

Throughout the interview process, the Board was impressed with Mr. Cline’s professional qualities and vision for the future of the Spencer-Owen Community School Corporation. We look forward to him helping us continue our mission of ensuring every student learns, achieves, and succeeds.
