High Ability Nominations Currently Being Accepted In accordance to Public Law 84, our High Ability program has implemented the process of high ability testing for students in the elementary grades. In the past few years, we have been able to test students at all grade levels including kindergarten. This year, we will be testing students in grades, 3 and 6 only for high ability. We will be testing kindergarten students in the spring. You, as a parent, have the opportunity to nominate your child to be tested for high ability if you feel he/she might qualify for these services. If your child was already tested and qualified for high ability in the past-they do not need to retake the test! Nomination forms are available in the school office. Students will be required to take a high ability test and the results of this test will determine if your child qualifies as a high ability learner according to state and local guidelines. All nominations must be turned into the office by December 14. Testing will take place during second semester at your child’s school. If you have further questions, please contact your child’s principal.
