Project Based Learning

Due to the unique circumstances brought on by coronavirus COVID-19, our students have the gift of time to creatively explore their own interests and engage in unique problem solving activities.  Below are suggested activities. 

Project Based Learning Process

  1. Identify a question/problem

  2. Plan materials and steps to answer the question/solve the problem

  3. Complete the steps

  4. Write down your conclusions

  5. Share your findings

  6. Revise your thinking and begin again OR identify a new question/problem to solve

Possible Questions to Solve

  • Learn to cook

  • Create a sustainable family meal plan

  • Plant a garden (e.g. indoor herb garden, outdoor garden beds, etc.)

  • Explore learning a new language

  • Research a topic you are curious about

  • Write an autobiography about your life

  • Create a new superhero and write a comic book

  • Develop a new video game or board game

  • Create a podcast for a future generation to learn about this time in our world

  • Journaling or blogging (using a blogging tool that is not public) about your daily events, thoughts, and routines
