At Spencer Owen Community Schools (SOCS), we work as team to determine what we teach, in order to deliver a guaranteed and viable curriculum that will prepare students for success at each next level.

The curriculum is aligned to the Indiana Academic Standards.  Teachers are trained to align curriculum to best prepare our students for post-secondary success.

Pre/Post Assessments aligned to each grade/content level are given to assess students' mastery of curriculum.  These tests are scored and a variety of reports on student mastery are available to assist instructional staff to analyze student achievement, to evaluate instructional effectiveness and to monitor school achievement.
