2024-2025 Principal Message

Parents/Guardians.

Welcome to the 2024-2025 Academic Year! Like many of our students and staff, I am looking forward to the school year! Our custodial staff and maintenance staff have worked diligently to ensure that our school is clean! As our year progresses, we will continue to maintain the safe and secure learning environment that our children deserve.  

For those of you that do not know me, I have included some information about myself below. I began my career in public service in 2009. After working for WorkOne as a Business Consultant, I was offered the opportunity to teach Career Information and Exploration (JAG) at Northview High School and Cumberland Academy in Brazil, Indiana. I served as a classroom teacher (JAG specialist)  from 2011-2013, before being promoted to manage the JAG program in six western Indiana counties. In 2014, I returned to teaching when I was offered the opportunity to teach 7th and 8th grade Science and 7th grade Social Studies at Shakamak Jr./Senior High School in Jasonville, Indiana. In February 2017, I accepted a position as the Assistant Principal at Owen Valley Middle School. In 2018, my role was expanded to cover 9th grade at Owen Valley High School as well. I hold a Bachelor's degree in History, a Master’s degree in Political Science, and a Specialist’s degree in Educational Leadership. Most recently, I completed a Doctorate in Education in 2018 and am now studying law at McKinney Law School in Indianapolis. I am licensed in Indiana as a teacher, administrator, and career/technical education director. 

 I reside in Brazil, Indiana with my daughter, Eleanor (Ellie). Ellie is ten years old. My background as a rural educator fills me with optimism for PES. I know that with your assistance and support that our team at Patricksburg will continue to ensure that your child receives an excellent education in a safe and nurturing environment. I am looking forward to working with each of you as the school year progresses!
