Course Discriptions:
Internship
In this course, students are immersed in a profession of their choosing. Students spend four days a week at their placement, learning from their mentor. One day a week students are in class creating a portfolio and learning valuable workplace skills.
Cooperative Education (ICE)
In this course, students are prepared for the workforce through in-class lessons and on-the-job training. Students must work 540 hours at their placement to receive credit for the year.
Human and Social Services
In this course, students learn about careers in the Human and Social Services field. Students also utilize and build the skills needed to be successful in this field through hands-on service learning projects that benefit the school and community.

Understanding Diversity
In this course, students will learn about the different cultures, nationalities, and religions of people currently living in the United States. Students will take a look at the historical practices and laws encouraging and sepressing immigration.
Introduction to Fashion and Textiles
In this course, students gain a basic understanding of fashion terms, trends, and production. Students will learn how to sew both by hand and with a machine. Students will create many projects in the course including a pincushion, sock monkey, and a project of their choosing.
Careers in Fashion and Textiles
In this course, students gain first-hand experience working in a fashion manufacturing setting through Patriot Manufacturing. Students in this course will work to design, create, and sell Patriot Manufacturing merchandise. Students will also learn about key components and careers related to careers in fashion.

Principles of Digital Design
In this course, students will learn the fundamentals of design and design theory. Through a project-based curriculum, students will gain first-hand experience with an array of design software and learn how to take original images for their designs.
Classroom Policies
Students must follow all school policies in the student handbook.
Students are expected to be in their seats when the bell rings.
Students must be prepared for class each day. Extra supplies are located in supply bins and may be accessed as needed. Chromebooks are needed as they are utilized daily.
Absent work is the responsibility of the student. All assignments are posted to Canvas. Absent work can be submitted in accordance to the school policy.
Grading is based on total points. Corporation policy is 45% for semester 1, 45% for semester 2, and 10% for the final exam.
