I have taught Visual Arts for 22 years at Spencer Owen Community Schools. I

received a B.A. of Fine Arts and a B.A. of Art Education from Indiana University

Bloomington. I am married I have one son and two dogs. I enjoy creating art

being outdoors, gardening, hiking and many sports.

I teach multiple courses yearly including: drawing, painting, fiber arts, art history,

stained glass, jewelry, ceramics, sculpture, 2d, and 3d. All of my courses are

taught exploring history, culture, critical thinking, and aesthetic values and art

making. My goal for all art students is to enable them to be proficient creators,

performers, critics, listeners and observers of the art.

My grading scale is based on a point system using traditional rubrics, standard

tests and classroom critiques for assessments. All assignments are on canvas and updated weekly.
