Hello my name is Diona Payton and I have lived in Owen County my whole life. I attended Patricksburg Elementary and continued on to OVMS and then OVHS. After doing multiple internships with different ages I decided I wanted to become a Preschool Teacher. I graduated in 2012 and got my first job as a Preschool Assistant in Owen County Head Start soon after. In 2016 I left Preschool and became a Early Head Start Lead Teacher at SCCAP. In 2022 I decided to go back to Preschool and signed on as a Pre-K Instructor for Gosport Elementary.
In 2012 I married my Middle School Sweetheart, Ben Payton. In 2015 we welcomed our first son Colten Benjamin. Our second son, Cohner Basil, arrived in 2017. After living with family off and on our whole marriage we finally moved into our forever home in 2019.
We have many animals as well. Our fur family includes 7 dogs (3 Chuahuahs: Nickie, Patsie, & Bowie. 4 Pitbulls: Athena, Aries, Venus & Minerva), 1 cat (Bast), 4 lizards (2 Leopard Geckos: Loki & Hawkeye, a Bearded Dragon: Thor & an Anole: Hulk), 2 turtles ( Leonardo & Michelangelo) along with many fish.
